Due to recommendations from various agencies and the implementation of social distancing measures, the physical 2020 Carrboro Day event has been canceled. However, we will still be celebrating our community virtually! Please continue to check this website for updates closer to the event date of Sunday, May 3rd and follow the virtual event on Facebook at HERE.
A day of music, art, games, poetry, food, and celebration!
Carrboro Day is held the first Sunday in May from 1:00pm-5:00pm on the Carrboro Town Hall grounds.
Join neighbors and friends to learn about and celebrate the unique qualities that make our town special. Enjoy old Carrboro stories and photos, poetry readings, music and dancing, interactive field games, crafts, family activities and more!
As more event details become available, please visit the event’s Facebook Event Page and help us spread the word to our community by sharing it with your friends!
Help us celebrate Carrboro Day 2020...VIRTUALLY!
If you are as sad as we are to see Carrboro Day cancelled for this year, we would love for you to help us celebrate together.
We are holding a contest for you to submit an original piece/creation that you feel represents Carrboro. We all know how wonderful and unique our town is and this is your chance to share your talents! Submissions can be an essay, poem, song, piece of art, etc. The winner will be featured on the Carrboro Day webpage and the submission will be shared on Facebook on Carrboro Day (May 3). The winner will also receive a Carrboro Day tie-dye T-Shirt.
Email your submissions to Emma Griffin, email@example.com.
***At this time, a physical piece of artwork cannot be dropped off. Please take a photo/photos or video to send in as your submission***
Stay tuned for more information on how we plan to celebrate Carrboro Day this year, social distancing and all!
